Man Fatally Shot By Officers In Little Falls
LITTLE FALLS, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Little Falls, Minn. early Thursday morning.
According to the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, the 37-year-old victim was reported to be suicidal.
Officers responded to a call just after midnight that the man was in possession of a shotgun. Little Falls Police and county deputies found the man as he was driving.
The man allegedly got out of the vehicle with the shotgun. Officers repeatedly tried to get him to put the gun down, but he didn't respond to their requests.
Two police officers and two deputies fired their weapons. The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation has been turned over to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
