Man Dies While Duck Hunting In Southern Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said an Albert Lea man died Saturday while duck hunting in southern Minnesota.
The Freeborn County Sheriff's Office was called at about 5:51 p.m. Saturday on a report that a person had died. The man was found on the northwest corner near a dam on Pickeral Lake. Authorities said the family of the man led them to his body.
The victim was identified by his family as 73-year-old Orrie Eugene Jirele. His family said he went out Saturday morning to go hunting, never returned and they went searching for him.
Authorities said it appears Jirele died of natural causes and was not related to hunting.
