Man Dies After Walking Into Half-Frozen Pond
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 20-year-old Brooklyn Park man died Friday night after wandering into a half-frozen pond in Maple Grove, authorities said.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said Andrew Pitts's death was a drowning and the manner of death is pending further investigation.
Authorities said he had gone in just after 8 p.m. on the 12000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. He was pulled out in an unconscious state and died at 9:54 p.m. Friday.
