Man Charged With Burglary, Assault After SUV Crash
BURNSVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man whose SUV ended up crashing into a home in Burnsville was charged Monday with burglary and assault.
The charges against Willie Brown show that last Friday, he was caught by a homeowner, stealing from that person's home.
The homeowner tried to block Brown in, but he pulled out a gun and the homeowner backed off.
Police say Brown took off, while the homeowner called 911 and followed him.
Brown eventually crashed his SUV into another home in Burnsville that also serves as a home daycare -- and then waved his gun at that homeowner as well.
Police caught Brown two blocks from the crash scene.
Brown's criminal record shows he just got out of prison in December and had served time for murder.
