ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- A 21-year-old man has been charged with three counts of second-degree assault in connection with an April 1 stabbing outside Stargate nightclub in Maplewood.
Kongmeng Lee, of St. Paul, is accused of slashing and stabbing three people with a box cutter outside the club, at 1700 Rice St.
The victims, two 19 year olds and one 23-year-old, were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Two of the victims were cut on their face, chest and back while the third victim had lacerations on his lip, scalp and thumb.
According to the criminal complaint, the incident occurred around 1:50 a.m. on Friday. Two Ramsey County Sheriff's deputies were working off-duty as security staff at the nightclub when they were alerted to the incident outside.
