Man Burglarizes Home, Wakes Victim Before Fleeing
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – Police are searching for a suspect after a man burglarized a home in St. Cloud, then woke up the victim before being chased out of the house, authorities said.
St. Cloud Police were dispatched to the 800 block of 8th Avenue South at about 7:37 a.m. Saturday about an overnight burglary.
An investigation revealed that a 22-year-old female resident was woken up by either an African American or Somali male pulling the covers off her as she slept. The victim forced the man out of the house, then realized her laptop computer, cell phone and wallet had been stolen.
The suspect was described as about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark colored New York Yankees baseball cap with a flat bill.
