Man Arrested On Train After 7 Pounds Of Pot Found
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — An Oregon man riding on an Amtrak train to Minnesota has been arrested in North Dakota after authorities found more than 7 pounds of marijuana in his luggage.
The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department says U.S. Customs and Border Patrol received information that a suspicious person boarded the train in Portland, Ore. Officers from the Grand Fork's Sheriff's Office boarded the train in Grand Forks and with the help of a K9, located and seized 7.5 pounds of marijuana worth about $44,000.
A 22-year-old man from Portland was arrested.
