Man Arrested In Spring Lake Park Motel Shooting
ANDOVER, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a Aug. 19 shooting at the Spring Lake Park Motel, four days after being charged with the crime.
Pierre Tyshuan Henderson was taken into custody on Saturday. He was charged with aiding and abetting first-degree attempted murder last Wednesday but police could not locate Henderson's whereabouts.
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office followed up on information this week that led them to a residence in the city of Benson, Minn. -- where Henderson was located and arrested.
Search warrants were obtained for the residence, on the 400 block of 18th Avenue North. Officers from several police departments surrounded the home, which was occupied by two women and three young children.
The women and children were called out of the home, but Henderson would not surrender.
After a brief period of negotiation, Henderson surrendered and was taken into custody.
An adult suspect and one juvenile suspect remain at large.
All are suspected in the shooting, which happened at about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 19 on the 1600 block of County Road 10 in Spring Lake Park at the Hyway House Motel. The area is near the intersection of County Road 10 and Pleasant View Drive.
Police said three men walked into a room at the motel and opened fire. Twenty-year-old Marcus Hallmark, who was inside the room, was shot. He was transported to a local hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
