Man Arrested In Mpls. Bar Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The man arrested and accused in the shooting that left two injured at a Minneapolis bar earlier this week was marking his 23rd birthday on the day he allegedly committed the assault.
Police say that they have taken Devin Strouss into custody in connection with the Wednesday shooting at the 19 Bar on 14th Street.
Witnesses say shortly before the shooting, Strouss came into the bar with a dog. Workers refused to serve him because he appeared to be drunk.
Bouncers forced the man back outside and that's when police say he opened fire.
Police say Strouss shot through a double steel door, hitting a bar manager and a customer. Both sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The bar was closed Thursday, but was scheduled to reopen Friday.
