Man Arrested For Attempted Kidnapping In Brooklyn Park
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Brooklyn Park student told police Thursday that a man tried to kidnap her on her way to school.
Around 7:35 a.m. the Brooklyn Park Junior High School student said a man asked her to talk with him as she was walking to school. Moments later, she said he tried to grab her arm.
She said she was able to break free and get to school to report what happened to a Brooklyn Park Police School Resource Officer.
Officers were able to identify the man involved in the case. They found him in Minneapolis and arrested him for attempted kidnapping.
He is currently in custody at the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
Police said the identity of the suspect is not being released yet due to the ongoing investigation.
This case will go to the Hennepin County Attorney's office on Friday.
