Man Arrested After Bust Nets Marijuana, 24 Guns
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 59-year-old Hopkins man was arrested and charged with three felonies after after authorities recovered marijuana and 24 firearms from his home during a drug bust.
The Southwest Hennepin Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on the man's residence on 17th Avenue South in Hopkins back on March 23. When authorities went inside the home, they found an active marijuana growing operation and 24 firearms.
Police said two of the firearms were 9-millimeter rifles that were homemade and fully automatic. The state considers them machine guns.
Michael Raymond Stone was arrested and charged with one count of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a machine gun.
