Man Arrested After Allegedly Knifing Another In Grand Rapids
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 22-year-old man is in the hospital after being stabbed Tuesday afternoon in the Grand Rapids, Minn.
The Grand Rapids Police Department said the stabbing happened around 2:50 p.m. near the 600 block of Pokegama Avenue North.
When officers got to the scene, they found the victim with a knife wound in his chest.
The suspect, a 28-year-old man, fled the scene on foot, officers learned. They found him in a small wooded area after forming a perimeter around the area.
Officers arrested the suspect and brought him to the Itasca County Jail, where he awaits formal charges. He was not named by police.
Emergency crews brought the victim to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital. His condition is not known, and his identity was not released.
