Man Arguing With Wife Shot By Juvenile In Northern Minn.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An argument inside a northern Minnesota home Tuesday ended with gunshots and police finding a wounded man and his alleged juvenile shooter driving off together in a pickup truck.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office said it got a call from a home in Frohn Township about a "fight involving guns" just a few minutes after noon.
As deputies neared the home, it was learned that a Ford F350 pickup was leaving the scene. The deputies stopped the pickup and found within it the shooting victim, identified as Devin Craig Spears-Thomas, and the shooter, a boy. The boy was not named.
Deputies also went to the home in which the shooting happened. There, deputies learned that the boy shot Spears-Thomas when he was arguing with his wife, Amy Spears-Thomas.
The boy is currently being held pending an investigation. It was not said if he is related to Spears-Thomas.
