Man, 82, Sentenced To 30 Years For Murder Of Teacher
WILLMAR, Minn. (WCCO) -- An 82-year-old Paynesville man has been sentenced to over 30 years in prison for shooting a Minnesota teacher to death following an altercation.
Delbert Huber faces the 367-month sentence after being found guilty of second-degree murder.
Last year, Huber shot and killed Timothy Larson, 43, after a confrontation at a farm owned by Larson's family.
Police say Huber's son, Timothy Huber, was also at the Kandiyohi County farm. The two were accused of not reporting the shooting until more than 12 hours after it happened.
According to court documents, Delbert Huber shot Larson over $50 and some missing farm parts.
Larson was a beloved teacher of special needs students at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West.
