Man, 19, Found Unresponsive Outside Northern MN Cabin, Later Dies
BALSAM TOWNSHIP, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 19-year-old man is dead after being found outside an Itasca County cabin early Sunday morning, according to authorities.
The Itasca County Sheriff's Office says they received a call at 3 a.m. reporting an unresponsive man at a cabin in Rural Balsam Township. The reporting party told authorities that the man was found outside the cabin, was unresponsive and CPR was in progress.
When emergency responders arrived, the victim was transported by helicopter to the Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital where he died.
The Itasca County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.
