Mama V's Steak Roll Appetizers
Frank Vascellaro and his mother, Rosalie, whipped up some steak roll appetizers this week. Check out the recipe below:
Ingredients:
1-Lb.Round Steak. Have your butcher slice it very thin, about 1/8 of an inch thick.
1/3 –Lb Genoa Salami, sliced very thin
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Onion, finely chopped
Parmesan Cheese
Vegetable Oil
Bread Crumbs
Tooth Picks
Directions:
Place a piece of round steak on cutting board. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Place a layer of salami on top of the round steak. Now, add onion on top of salami.
Finally, sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Roll the steak tightly into a roll. Cut into piece about 1 inch wide and long. Secure steak roll with tooth pick(s).
Dunk the steak roll into a bowl of oil. Drudge the roll through bread crumbs and coat thoroughly. Place the breaded steak rolls on a cookie sheet.
Place under a broiler for about 3-4 minutes, turn over, and cook on other side another 3-4 minutes.
