'Making A Murderer' Subject Gets New Attorney
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Wisconsin man who has been getting a lot of attention lately has hired a new lawyer.
Steven Avery, the focus of the wildly-popular Netflix documentary series "Making A Murderer," will now be represented by Kathleen T. Zellner and Associates.

Zellner has won exonerations for 16 previous clients, and was named Chicago Lawyer's "Person of the Year" in 2014.
Avery was wrongfully convicted of rape and spent nearly two decades in prison before being released in 2003.

But four years later, he and his nephew were convicted of killing a photographer in Manitowoc County.
Both are serving life sentences.
