Lynx's Brunson Earns Weekly WNBA Honor
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The WNBA announced Tuesday it named Rebekkah Brunson of the Minnesota Lynx its Western Conference Player of the Week.
Brunson helped lead the Lynx to a 1-1 week, where she had 21 points and 17 rebounds in an 85-80 loss to the Washington Mystics. She was 8-of-11 from the floor in the game and made her first career three-point attempt.
Brunson also had 10 rebounds in the Lynx's 99-79 win over Phoenix. For the week, she led the Western Conference in rebounding for the week (13.5 per game) and so far on the season is second in the league in field goal percentage (.667).
The Lynx (2-1) host the San Antonio Silver Stars at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Target Center.
