Lynx Fans Encouraged To Welcome Team Home Today
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – If you want to congratulate the Minnesota Lynx on their WNBA championship, you can do so Saturday afternoon at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
The Lynx beat the Atlanta Dream 73-67 Friday night to claim a three-game sweep of the series. It's the first WNBA title in the history of the franchise. It's also Minnesota's first professional sports championship since the Twins won the World Series in 1991.
