Lynx F Brunson Western Conference Player of Week
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The WNBA has named Minnesota Lynx forward Rebekkah Brunson its Western Conference Player of the Week after she started the season with four consecutive double-doubles.
Brunson averaged a team-high 14.8 points per game and a league-high 14 rebounds per game in leading the Lynx to a 3-1 start. She shot .641 percent from the floor, second-best in the WNBA.
It's Brunson's second career Player of the Week honors. The 6-foot-2 forward has a total of 42 career double-doubles -- 16 as a Lynx player.
Indiana's Katie Douglass is the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
