Lottery Tickets Available For 'Book Of Mormon'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Didn't score tickets to the sold-out debut of "The Book of Mormon" in February? Well, you're not totally out of luck.
The nine-time Tony Award-winner heads to Minneapolis on Feb. 5 and runs through Feb. 17. The Orpheum announced Thursday they'll be offering a pre-show ticket lottery, with a limited number of tickets available for $25 each.
Lottery entries will be accepted at the Orpheum box office beginning two and a half hours before each performance. Each person will print their name and the number of tickets they'd like (one or two) on a provided card.
Names will be drawn at random two hours before curtain and winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show valid ID to purchase the $25 tickets. Only cash is accepted for payment.
One entry is allowed per person and up to two tickets will be provided to each winner.
The "Book of Mormon" features book, music and lyrics written by "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, plus Robert Lopez. It won Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, Best Book and Best Direction, among other awards.
