Local Chiropractor Charged With Criminal Sexual Conduct
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Little Canada chiropractor is under arrest after a patient accused him of sexual assault.
Paul Thompson, 54, was charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct. According to the criminal complaint, the victim told police Thompson penetrated her during one session, and had also touched her inappropriately in earlier visits.
She said she continued to go back to him for treatment because she was in a great deal of pain, and she thought he would stop his behavior.
Thompson told police he was placed on probation because of other complaints filed against him with the Minnesota Board of Chiropractors.
One of the requirements was that he would not be left alone with his patients.
Thompson could face up to 16 years in prison.
