Lincoln Place Offers Homes For Homeless Youths
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- On any given night in the Twin Cities, there are roughly 1,000 people who don't have a place to sleep. If all of the homeless shelters are filled to capacity, only 30 percent of the need is met.
Lincoln Place is the only place in Dakota County that helps find permanent housing for adults (18-25) who are at risk of being homeless. It offers 24 young adults housing and one-on-one counseling to help them achieve educational, personal and career goals.
Although there are often misconceptions as to how young people end up at Lincoln Place, the reality is that young adults become homeless for a wide range of reasons. Often times, it has nothing to do with there personal choices.

Lincoln Place is supported by Dakota County and the Community Development Agency, although it still depends on help from the public.
