List Of Juveniles Sentenced To Life Without Parole In Minn.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – There have been seven juveniles in Minnesota sentenced to life in prison without parole since the year 1996. All were sentenced on first-degree murder charges, among others.

Starting with the most recent, they are:

1. Mahdi Hassan Ali, now 19, who was sentenced for killing three people at a Minneapolis market in October of 2010, when he was 17.

2. Brian Flowers, now 21, who was sentenced for stabbing a woman more than 100 times and killing a 10-year-old boy by hitting him with a TV in 2008. He was 16 at the time.

3. Prentis Jackson, now 23, who was sentenced for shooting a man in the head in North Minneapolis in 2006. He was 17 at the time of the crime.

4. Lamonte Martin, now 23, who was sentenced for a gang-related killing, in which he shot a man up to 13 times in north Minneapolis in 2006, when he was 17.

5. Jeffrey Pendleton, Jr., now 23, who was sentenced for stabbing a man to death near Morton, Minn., in September of 2004. He was 15 at the time of the crime.

6. Tony Roman Nose, now 29, who was sentenced for beating and stabbing a 17-year-old girl to death with a screwdriver near Woodbury, Minn., in 2000. He was the same age his victim.

7. Timothy Chambers, now 33, who was sentenced after killing a deputy sheriff with a stolen car in a high-speed chase in 1996, when he was 17.
