Legendary 'U Of M' Football Head Coach Passes Away At 98
BLOOMINGTON (WCCO) -- Legendary head coach of the University of Minnesota football team Murray Warmath passed away in Bloomington Wednesday at the age of 98.
Warmath, who joined the team in 1954, won a national championship and went to two Rose Bowls. He coached the team for 18 years.
He had been a resident at Friendship Village, a retirement community, for the past eight years.
His death was due to natural causes.
