Leads Pour In For Coon Rapids Hit-And-Run
COON RAPIDS, Minn. (WCCO) - There's been a big public response to an appeal for the young boy critically hurt in a hit-and-run crash.
As 9-year-old Amir Taylor lies in a hospital bed with serious head injuries, the Anoka County Sheriff's office is receiving lots of leads from the public about who might have been driving the pickup that struck the boy on his bike on a Coon Rapids street Wednesday night.

"Clearly there are people with knowledge of this vehicle, and people are responding to our request for information," said Commander Paul Sommer of the sheriff's office.
Family members say they've seen the black Chevy Z71 pickup speeding through the area before.
The driver is described as white man in his late 20s with short blond hair and a scraggly face.

Amir is currently still in critical condition.
