But have no fear, clear skies are in the forecast for Halloween this year.
However, with expected highs only near 40°, this Friday is in line to be the chilliest Halloween since 2006.

Ghosts and goblins were not the only cause for shivers down the spine on Halloween in 1873.
That was the coldest Halloween day on record at 26°.
Nearly hotter than a witch's brew, was our warmest Halloween on record, in 1950.
That Halloween had a high temperature of 83°.
Warmth on Halloween is quite the treat, as only eight featured highs of 70° or warmer.
It was no warlock or wizard, but Mother Nature who cast a spell of the historic Halloween blizzard.
On Oct. 31, 1991, 8.2" of snow accumulated in the Twin Cities, and the snow continued to fall through Nov. 2 with a final storm total of nearly 28.0"—one of the largest and longest lasting blizzards in state history!
November 1991 went on to be the snowiest November on record in the Twin Cities at 46.9" of snow, or nearly 4 feet.
Overall, Halloween snow has been an apparition in climate history, as measurable snow has fallen on only six Halloweens since 1872.
