Kylie's Kids: Meet 'Sydney The Cancer Slayer'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For most of us, there's not much that's scarier than finding out you have cancer. But Sydney has said from day one that she's not only going to beat cancer, but slay it!
That's why this week's Kylie's Kids calls herself "Sydney the Cancer Slayer."
After 110 days of slaying Lymphoma at Masonic Children's Hospital, Sydney is leaving Minnesota.
But first, she's stringing together her Beads of Courage: One bead for every experience in the hospital. Then, she finally gets to go back home to North Dakota.
Sydney has made a lot of friends here in Minnesota, dancing and singing her way through the hospital -- even smiling as she shaved off her red hair.
Now she's heading back home with a slightly different look and a whole lot of courage beads. She can't wait to get back to being a normal 12-year-old girl.
