Key Evidence Could Be Thrown Out In Trial Of Waseca Teen
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A potential key piece of evidence in the case of a teen accused of planning an attack on his school could be thrown out.
John LaDue, 17, was arrested in April after authorities found explosive-making material.
The Mankato Free Press reported that the defense attorney is asking the judge to seal a journal that authorities say includes details of the plot.
The request will be considered at a hearing on June 18.
LaDue's attorney believes a significant part of the journal isn't relevant and shouldn't be considered evidence.
Right now psychological exams are being done to determine if LaDue can face trial as an adult.
