Kevin Love Misses Practice With Bruised Knee
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love missed practice on Tuesday because of a bruised left knee. The team does not believe that the injury will keep him from trying to surpass Moses Malone's mark of 51 straight double-doubles on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers.
Malone had 51 double-doubles in a row over two seasons, 1978-79. That's the longest such streak since the NBA and ABA merged in 1976.
Love tied that mark, which is the longest single season double-double streak, against Dallas on Monday.
Love was not at the practice facility on Tuesday while going to a doctor for an MRI. He was injured when he fell to the floor against the Mavs, but finished the game and had 23 points and 17 rebounds.
