Kevin Love Left Off Western Conference All-Stars
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Kevin Love's cologne wasn't enough to sway the Western Conference coaches.
The Minnesota Timberwolves power forward was left off the All-Star team when the reserves were announced on Thursday night.
Love is averaging 21.4 and leads the league with 15.5 rebounds per game. He also had the first 30-point, 30-rebound game in 28 years and is shooting over 43 percent from 3-point range. But all those numbers weren't enough to offset the Timberwolves' 11-37 record, which is the worst in the West.
Love has one more chance to make the team if Commissioner David Stern picks him as an alternate to replace the injured Yao Ming.
The Timberwolves sent the coaches in the West a bottle of "Numb(hash)rs" cologne to promote Love for the game.
