Neighbors Come Together To Improve North Mpls. Neighborhood
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Some residents in north Minneapolis are working to make their neighborhood better.
It's called the Jordan Week of Kindness. Residents and volunteers will spend the week fixing up the Jordan neighborhood along Knox Avenue North.
That includes home repairs, painting and cleaning up the block.
"Tackling several properties at one time gets community members involved, gets neighbors involved," said Mike Robertson, construction program manager, "and really makes a big difference in how people feel about the neighborhood and about the community."
The week will wrap up with a community celebration next Saturday. Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges will speak at that event.
