Minnesota 6th Congressional District candidate Jeanne Hendricks submitted her answers to the questionnaire below.

What do you believe are the most pressing issues facing constituents served by the office you are seeking?
- Women's reproductive freedoms
- Gun safety laws
- Immigration reform
What are the three big goals or policies you hope to accomplish or pass during your time in office?
- National abortion rights law, including contraception and IVF
- Pass assault weapons ban
- Path to citizenship for all undocumented immigrants
Do you think Congress should pass a federal law on abortion rights and what should it look like?
Congress should pass a federal law that makes abortion legal in all 50 states, including access to contraception and IVF.
According to polls, illegal crossings at the southern border and immigration policy are consistently ranked as a top issue for Americans. What do you propose to address these concerns?
I would vote in favor of the immigration bill recently killed by Donald Trump, which provides increased funding for asylum judges and border patrol.
What would you do to address violent crime and drug use?
Previously mentioned solutions. An assault weapons ban which would drastically decrease mass shootings. Pass the immigration bill which would help to decrease the flow of fentanyl into the country.
Guns are the leading cause of death among children and teens in the United States. What do you believe the federal government should do to reduce gun violence?
- Safe gun storage laws
- Assault weapons ban
- Federal red flag laws
Do you believe there should be term limits for members of Congress?
Yes, there should be term limits for Congress. Senate limit to three terms and House limit to five terms.
What economic policies do you propose to address high prices and cost of living?
Take tax incentives away from investors buying large numbers of homes then increasing pricing on renters or buyers. Incentivize builders to build starter homes. Analyze the grocery industry and penalize price gouging.
What is the government's responsibility when it comes to climate change? How would you address it?
The government is responsible for moving the country toward renewable energy and away from coal and oil use for energy. The government is responsible for joining the international community and committing to decrease greenhouse gas emission. I would oppose any new oil leases on federal lands. I would support promotion of renewable solar, wind and biofuel energy sources.
As government, health care, and financial institutions face increasing threats to cybersecurity, what measures should policymakers and Americans alike take to protect people from these ongoing threats?
The U.S. government has proposed improvements in detection, information sharing, modernizing federal cyber security, federal procurement and federal incident response. Strengthen the collaboration between the private sector to quickly detect and communicate attacks.
Who won the 2020 Presidential election? How confident are you in the integrity of our elections?
Joe Biden. I am extremely confident in the integrity and fairness of our elections. Donald Trump had to attack the election system when he lost because he could not and does not think he lost the election.
