Jay-Z, Kanye West Both Coming To Twin Cities In November
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The two headliners from the hip-hop "super-duet" LP "Watch the Throne" will be performing live in concert in the Twin Cities this fall in two separate concerts.
Kanye West announced that his Yeezus Tour would be making a stop at the Target Center on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The concert appearance will mark one of 23 North American cities West plans to visit in support of his latest album "Yeezus," which came out in June.
Also appearing in concert with West will be Kendrick Lamar, whose recent album "good kid, m.A.A.d city" was among the most critically acclaimed records last year, placing second in the Village Voice poll of music critics.
The concert tour marks West's first solo tour in five years.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Friday, Sept. 13.
Hours after West's announcement, his "Watch the Throne" collaborator Jay-Z announced his Magna Carter world tour would kick off in St. Paul.
The concert tour is in support of his latest album, "Magna Carta Holy Grail," which was released in July.
The Xcel Energy Center will host the first show in a 34-date schedule. Jay-Z will perform at the Xcel on Saturday, Nov. 30.
"Watch the Throne" was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, selling more than 1.5 million copies.
