Jay Cooke State Park Reopening After Flooding
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Four months after the Northland flooding, Jay Cooke State Park is reopening on Monday.
Floodwaters washed away roads and trails along with the historic 1930s swing bridge. Now, some areas of the park are reopening. Visitors will be able to drive in from the west, but they can only go as far as park headquarters and the campground.
The state will start taking reservations for campers on Nov. 1. The swing bridge will be rebuilt next summer.
