Some Twin Cities Terror Trial Evidence Released

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We are getting our first look at some of the evidence from the Twin Cities terror trial.

A jury found Abdirahman Daud, Mohamed Farah and Guled Omar guilty last week of a plot to join ISIS and commit murder on behalf of the terrorist group.

The prosecution claimed Daud exchanged text messages with an ISIS fighter who was already in Syria.

Daud is given directions in the text messages on what to say if he is questioned at the airport, and what to do once he gets to Syria.

More evidence is expected to be released next week. All three defendants are now facing life in prison.
