Innocent Driver Injured During Police Chase, 4 Arrested
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A police chase that happened in South Minneapolis overnight sent an innocent driver to the hospital.
The chase started just before 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Witnesses who saw the crash said the driver of an SUV blew through a stop sign, t-boned a van, and came to a stop in the front yard of a home on the corner of 13th Ave. South and East 42nd St.
Police said the driver got out and ran away. They caught him a short time later and said the vehicle he was driving was stolen.
The man was wanted on outstanding warrants, police said.
Three other people in the car were taken into custody immediately.
The woman in the van that was hit was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Her condition is not known at this time. Police expect to release more information later Tuesday.
