Sheriff: Ely Man, 50, Found Dead In Virginia Jail
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 50-year-old Ely man was found dead in his jail cell in Virginia Monday morning.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's office says a deputy found the man unresponsive just before 2 p.m. inside of the Virginia Jail.
Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the jail.
The sheriff's office is investigating, but says foul play is not suspected in this case.
The man's name has not been released.
