Infant In Critical Condition After School Bus Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 4-month-old child was in critical condition Thursday night after a school bus collided with a van on icy roads in North Branch, Minn., authorities said.
North Branch Police said the crash happened just before 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of Forest Boulevard and Crestview Drive. Slick roads appear to be a factor in the crash.
When officers got to the scene, they found the injured infant in the van and two adult drivers. The school bus held no children.
Emergency crews brought the infant to University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital in critical condition.
The drivers were treated and released from a hospital in Wyoming, Minn.
The names of those involved have yet to be released.
An investigation is ongoing.
