Indiana Says It Will Play Minnesota As Scheduled
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- Wednesday night's game between No. 18 Minnesota and Indiana will be played as scheduled at 5:30 p.m. central time.
But school officials are encouraging fans to leave earlier than usual so they make it safely to Bloomington in time for tip-off.
A major winter storm coated the roads from Bloomington to Indianapolis with ice, freezing rain, sleet and snow. Gusty winds also are expected to make driving difficult.
The Gophers left Minneapolis four hours earlier than their scheduled departure time Tuesday. After arriving in Indianapolis, the Gophers took a bus for the 50-mile trip to Bloomington, arriving Tuesday night.
Classes at Indiana are scheduled to resume at 1 p.m.
