IBM Moving Jobs Out Of MN; Wal-Mart Moves Jobs In, & Target Expands
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- IBM is moving hundreds of its manufacturing jobs out of its Rochester plant and into Mexico, and New York.
The computer company is not saying exactly how many jobs will be lost in Rochester by the time the shift is finished next year.
Wal-Mart says it's going to build a distribution center in Mankato, creating about 300 jobs -- both full time and part time.
The facility is expected to open in late 2015.
And finally, Target opened three stores near Toronto -- the first stores outside the United States. The company plans to open another 120 stores across Canada by the end of the year.
