Fatal Crash On I-94 Backs Up Traffic For Miles

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Traffic on Interstate 94 was at a standstill Saturday due to a fatal crash on the highway.

State Patrol said the crash occurred just after 2:30 p.m. at Prior Avenue in St. Paul.

A Hyundai Elantra driven by a 31-year-old man was traveling eastbound on 94 when it left the roadway and rolled.

State Patrol said the crash was fatal. They also said at least one person in the crash was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash blocked the right eastbound lanes, backing up traffic for miles.
