I-494 Ranked Among Nation's Worst Commutes
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- How many times have you gotten stuck in traffic along Interstate 494? More times than you can count?
Well, according to one survey of GPS and smartphone tracking data, it's not just your imagination. The commute along eastbound I-494 is considered among the nation's worst for congestion.
The findings were reported on AOL Autos website, based on information obtained from the company INRIX.
The traffic jams along the Twin Cities interstate were bad enough to earn the ranking of 13th worst in the U.S.
The list was topped by, where else, Los Angeles, where eastbound Riverside Freeway (Highway 91) is making motorists miserable.
Rounding out the top five were stretches in Honolulu, San Francisco, New York and Washington, D.C.
Only the Kennedy/Dan Ryan Expressways in Chicago topped I-494 among Midwestern commutes.
