State Patrol: 1 Killed, 2 Injured In Rice Co. Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says one man is dead and two others are injured after a rollover crash Friday afternoon in Rice County.
The fatal accident happened at about 3:15 p.m., when a Volkswagen Jetta traveling southbound on Jacobs Avenue turned onto Highway 60 with the right of way.
The Jetta was struck by a Buick LaCrosse, and both cars went into a ditch and rolled over.
The driver of the Jetta, 53-year-old Scott Kalina, was killed.
The occupants of the LaCrosse, 50-year-old Christine Baun and 22-year-old Joseph Baun, both suffered non-life threatening injuries.
All three people involved are from Kenyon. The state patrol is investigating.
