Human Remains Found Near The Minnesota River
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities in the south metro say human remains were found this weekend near the Minnesota River.
The Dakota County Sheriff's Office said Sunday evening that a passer-by noticed a body at the edge of the water, near the intersection of Interstate 35W and Black Dog Road in Burnsville.
The body was heavily decomposed.
The sheriff's office says the remains will be sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy and identification.
Authorities say they are treating the incident as a suspicious death.
