Hudson Man Arrested For 5th DWI
HUDSON, Wis. (WCCO) – A 35-year-old man from Hudson was arrested Thursday by the Wisconsin State Patrol for his fifth DWI, authorities said.
A Wisconsin state trooper responded to a report of an aggressive driver on Interstate 94 in St. Croix County. The trooper spotted a vehicle driving in excess of 100 miles per hour. While pursuing the vehicle, the trooper observed the car pass other traffic on both the left and right shoulders of the eastbound lanes.
The trooper was able to stop the vehicle and detected a strong odor of alcohol on the driver. Reggie D. Gilbertson was arrested for fifth offensive of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. He was also driving 107 miles per hour in a 65 miles per hour zone.
Gilbertson was transported to the St. Croix County Jail.
