HS Football Player Hospitalized After Collapsing At Practice
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A sophomore at a Mendota Heights, Minn. high school is in stable condition after collapsing after football practice Friday night.
The headmaster at Saint Thomas Academy, Matthew Mohs, confirms that the student is hospitalized, and will be kept sedated through the weekend as doctors monitor his condition.
The team's medical staff, coaches and trainers responded to the student immediately after the collapse, and until paramedics arrived.
The name of the student and the cause of the collapse have not been released.
Saint Thomas Academy is an all-male, Roman Catholic, college preparatory military high school.
