MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Shorts, flip-flops, and even golf clubs made an appearance Saturday as temperatures soared to a record-breaking 66 degrees in the Twin Cities.
WCCO found kids soaking up the sun at the parks and many people walking the lakes.
Golfers were also spotted at Braemar Golf Course in Edina. It's one of several golf courses in the Twin Cities that opened their driving ranges for the warm weather.

But while it's fun to be out in the sun, the lack of snow and dry weather is creating perfect conditions for fires. A grass fire popped Friday up along Interstate-35 in Forest Lake, Minn. It's possible more brush fires might spark up Sunday.
The DNR says strong winds, warm temperatures and low humidity across the southern part of Minnesota will make perfect conditions for fires.
