House Speaker Daudt To Serve As MN Campaign Chair To Walker
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker announced Friday that House Speaker Kurt Daudt will serve as the Minnesota state chairman for Walker's presidential campaign.
Currently, Daudt is the Speaker of the House in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
Walker said in a recent press release that he is proud to have Daudt on his team as he is a fellow conservative "fighting the good fight."
"Minnesota will play an important role in choosing the eventual Republican nominee, and together, Speaker Daudt and I will work to spread our message of big, bold reform throughout the state," Daudt said in a recent press release.
Daudt said he is excited to be working alongside Walker as he is a strong leader.
"Our country needs a reform-minded leader who isn't afraid to identify problems and fight for solutions. Gov. Walker stood up for the hard-working taxpayers of Wisconsin, stood against the entrenched special interests, and survived a historic recall election. I believe he has proven his readiness to lead our great country," Daudt said in a recent press release.
Prior to working as a state representative, Daudt worked as the Isanti County Commissioner for six years, and was the Standford Town Board Supervisor for six years.
