MDH: 3 New Cases Of Legionnaires' Disease Reported In Hopkins Outbreak
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- State health officials say an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease in Minnesota has expanded.
A Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) representative says three additional cases of the bacteria-caused disease associated with an outbreak in Hopkins have been discovered. That raises the total to 12 people who live or work in Hopkins that have been infected with the disease.
The MDH says two of the three individuals involved in the new cases have been hospitalized, and their ages range from 20s to 80s.
Health officials are still investigating the source of the outbreak.
